Almost there...
Well we hit 75% of our goal with the first donation drive. SWEET. That was awesome for only having the drive alive for about 36 hours. However, we still need at least $150 more to place the 1/8 page ad. Ideally we can raise even more money and place a larger (1/4 - 1/2 page) ad on the interior of the paper.

I know my local Starbucks is probably missing me this week but I put my weekly allowance on caffeine towards making sure we win Cherokee County for Dr. Paul. Won't you join me, and our other members, by donating the money you'd spend today at Starbucks, Chik-Fil-A, or in some other fast food joint and help get the word out?

PROJECT
We'reraising $600 to do three advertisements in the Cherokee Ledger-News,one 1/8 page ad and two front page banner ads. Also, this will beonline in their classified section for 3-4 weeks depending on when wesubmit our final copy.

WHAT IS THE CHEROKEE LEDGER-NEWS?
Thisis the weekly paper that is delivered on Wednesdays to more than 40,000Cherokee County residents with their mail. It also can be picked up insome local establishments.

OUR ADVERTISEMENTS
We will be placing the following ads:
  • 1/23/08 edition
    front page color banner ad

  • 1/30/08 edition
    front page color banner ad & 1/8 page color ad
Ifwe raise more than the target amount we will place a larger ad orpossibly add an additional 1/8 page ad on 1/23. We need a minimum of$600 for this effort in order to run the advertisements as listedabove.

TARGET AUDIENCE
Asmost of you know we have a large county and there is no way we can hiteveryone. By placing these ads we will be able to increase exposure toDr. Paul platform significantly in the two weeks leading up to thePrimaries on February 5. The other bonus is that we will also begetting in front of individuals that we may not have on our targetedlists.

DEADLINE
Pleasedonate today. All final copy is due on Thursday, January 17 and byplacing all ads at once we get a small discount. Additionally, we haveto reserve the front page space ASAP because it has to be paid inadvance in order to reserve the space.

Thisis an easy way to help get the word out in Cherokee County and willhelp us target the largest number of voters in our county, especiallyin the precincts where we do not have a dedicated leader(s).
